12 Steps of WordPress Installation

Installing WordPress is a very simple process and takes less than five minutes to complete.

The following installation guide will help you.

• Download latest version of WordPress package from www.wordpress.org [I am using wordpress-3.3.1. Please note that WordPress 3.3.1 requires at least 5.2.4.]
• Unzip the package in your server website folder.
• Access PHP My Admin and Create Database name.
• Access the files through www.yourwebsitename.com/wp-admin/
• Click on Create a Configure file.
• Before getting started you need information below.
  • Database name
  • Database username
  • Database password
  • Database host
  • Table prefix (if you want to run more than one WordPress in a single database)
• Access your PHP My Admin or Hosting Details to get above details and click on Let’s go button
• Enter your database connection details. If you are not sure about these, contact your host.
• The installer will setup the tables needed for your blog.
• Click on Submit
• WordPress will communicate with your database.
• Enter your Site Title, Username, Password etc and click on Install Wordpress button. It’s ready and now you can check your website www.yourwebsitename.com
